You’re question talks about an addiction but you don’t want to seem to be a “drug seeker.” Talk to your doctor or someone you will trust and listen to if they tell you to seek help.

sorry to hear about your problem, why cant you just check into a rehab so you know you will get the help and clean yourself out?
i honestly think that some docs like to prescribe stuff like that because they know the person is going to abuse it. i wonder if anyone has ever used a methadone clinic in a non abusive way.
just go to ur doctor and tell them u want to stop ur addiction. (Since buprenophrin will help you out with it) it will be a long and hard process because the dr. has to do a complete evaluation and make sure that you have good intentions with the drug..
Good luk!
Some clinics will do the tapering on an outpatient basis. Other people find rehab works better due to the environment and continuous support. You will need to find ways to deal with the initial emptiness and cravings.

Everyone here is correct. You need to be HONEST with the doctor. Tell them you are addicted to opiates and need help. Most physicians can recommend a treatment center or med-management doctor, since doctor’s have to have specialized licensing to prescribe anti-withdrawal medications. If you are honest up front, your doctor should believe you and help you get started. In Tampa, Florida, You can contact the NorthWest Family Medical Center for outpatient addiction treatment.
Good luck!
If you have an extreme opiate addiction, you need to be away from anywhere you can locate the drug. Rehab might be your best option. I would definitely talk to these guys: http://www.recoveryconnection.org to see if rehab would work for you (they’ll recommend the right facility if you need).
Good luck on your addiction and I hope you get the help that you need.
