CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley – A civil rights milestone in Wichita, Kan. – Over 50 years ago, a group of students from the local NAACP chapter sat down at the counter at Dockum’s Drug Store in Wichita, Kansas. Jim Axelrod spoke with a few members of the group on how that day changed history in the civil rights movement.

 

Ottawa woman pleads in deadly drug case

Edwards was one of 10 Ottawa people charged in the case. She rented property to tenants who paid her with prescription drugs and she accepted stolen property as payment for pills. Prosecutors say a man who bought drugs from the ring died in May 2009.
