Charting Community Change Episode #1 – “Sustainability: We Did It and You Can Too!” – “Charting Community Change,” the new video podcast (“vodcast”) series produced by CADCA’s National Coalition Institute, provides real-life experiences and insights from coalition leaders and substance abuse professionals to help coalitions become effective community change agents. Coalitions must develop comprehensive plans for maintaining their human, social and material resources to achieve long-term population-level outcomes. In “Sustainability: We Did It and You Can Too!,” the premiere episode of the new Institute vodcast series, three coalition leaders examine how their organizations implemented strategies to sustain their efforts after 10 years of funding through the Drug Free Communities Support Program. The vodcast features interviews with the following coalition leaders: Cheryl Guthier of the Community Prevention Partnership of Berks County, Berks County, PA; Ann Comiskey of the Troy Community Coalition for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Troy, MI; Sally Zellers of the Safe Streets Coalition, Topeka, KS.
