What Happens if You Violate Probation & Charges Are Pressed?
Question by Jerlond: What happens if you violate probation & charges are pressed?
My boyfriend is a very depressed and suicidal person sometimes. When he drinks he gets kind of violent. I received a phone call from him saying he was in the hospital because he drank too much and took klonopin, when his mom got home he got angry because she found out and i guess they started fighting and he tried to go for the knives. He said He violated his probation and that he might get put on formal probation. He’s only 17 And we live in the state of PA, He says he doesn’t know if the cops are pressing charges or not & that he could get sent away. Lets say they do press charges for violating probation, what happens then? Does he get sent away? Go to Juvenile jail? Goes home since he’s underage and just get formal probation?

It’s because they have the experience on how to manage these people in these situations. They are professional enough to know what to do instead of just panicking.
It’s their field.

what do u mean by refer, are you a volunteer that work at help hotline? if so then if theyre seeking help that would be the best place to start. but if its jus someone you see that might be using drugs it will have to be themselves that volunteraly check themselves in. onlie nut cases get sent away:P
In Some Big Trouble…?
Question by Ryan Broham: in some big trouble…?
I am 18 years old, and go to UNH. Over the weekend, I was arrested for unlawful intoxication. I was stumbling out of a convenience store, and was stopped by UNH police, who could blatantly see that I was intoxicated, and was arrested on just that one charge. I will be going to court January 13th, 2010, and am planning on taking advantage of the free legal services offered by UNH, which I am hoping will create some sort of plea deal that will get this charge dropped.
