Questions About Borderline Personality Disorder 3 – Part Question.?

Question by : Questions about borderline personality disorder 3 – part question.?
I believe my ex bf has borderline personality disorder. He has been diagnosed with depression but I don’t see how any of his symptoms are significant to be diagnosed this way. After all I have read and after all I know about him I think that BPD is often misdiagnosed partly because it is cheaper to treat depression than it is BPD and it is easy for a person with BPD to fake depression in order to manipulate people into feeling sorry for them. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

He got so bad that he broke into my house and beat me up and spent 4 months in jail and is currently on house arrest until his sentencing date on the 30th of this month. I want to help him – not punish him. I have been in contact with his other ex gf and after comparing notes I am sure we can prove he has this disorder. Does anyone in the Wichita Ks are know of any therapist with experience with this disorder and also does anyone know of any good support groups in the area?
I should add that I believe he shows symptoms of antisocial personality disorder as well. He shows symptoms of both of these disorders but none really to an extreme. I think I got a little confused when I first wrote this but I just re-read the descriptions of both disorders and he does show signs of both but not of depression and the only way I can see that he got this diagnoses was by lying about his problems – which corrosponds with the manipulative patterns of antisocial personality disorder.

Any thoughts are appriciated.

Sometimes I feel like I may have BPD, but I’m not sure what to do about it.
