Hi. I was just weighing my options for how to deal with my drug problem. I work random 1st and 2nd shifts so inpatient rehab is out of the question, and because of the 1st and 2nd shift switching I couldn’t make every intensive outpatient meeting. I am not quite sure how to handle this. It is very hard for me to just stop using drugs by myself. I would probably go to rehab but I just started this new job I went to school for. Is there any other ways I can get help?

For a heroin addiction, is rehab more effective to get clean than any outpatient treatment?

Yes it is a must, the withdrawals symptoms from heroin happens because the body stops producing serotonin and they usually feel severe physical pain. Naltroxene is used to treat heroin withdrawal.
Besides of that addiction is a whole wide area people often need help controlling their addictive personality, they often tend to self destruct when under severe stress, often heroin addicts when abstaining from heroin, and have gone through treatment, they turn to other drugs after.

Yes there is.. California is a big city, of course it has drug rehab centers.

There are all kinds of drug rehabilitation centers in CA. There are a lot of different kinds of programs (inpatient, outpatient, support groups etc). Check out Orange County, they have a variety of programs in a beautiful setting.
